About

Based in Montréal, Gloria Yu is a Chinese Canadian illustrator who graduated from the Illustration program at Dawson College. Most of the time she enjoys painting digitally, using Adobe Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint. She also sketches and doodles traditionally in pencil and ink. Her art style is influenced by Japanese animation and comics and is characterized by clean lines and defined shapes. Inspired by oriental aesthetics and nature, the tone of her artwork is generally described as dreamlike and bright, as she hopes to create illustrations that will warm people’s hearts and evoke a soft sense of curiosity.
